Program Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall program management, program performance monitoring, capturing new business within Government and Defense, coordination with subcontractors, delivery of all contractual requirements and primary relationship and communication with the end customer.
  • Oversee all phases and processes of the program system process, to include integration testing.
  • Manage the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts on a large or high priority program.
  • Communicate project activities via the program management plan, regular program meetings, and program status reporting. Plan, coordinate and manage the actions taken by the organization to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively.
  • Integrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements.
  • Direct project team personnel, manage costs and schedules, ensure contract compliance, and serve as the principal customer interface. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of the program, including technology, schedules, costs, and contract/customer satisfaction.
  • Interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
  • Accept profit/loss and customer interface responsibility.
  • Provide proactive leadership and direction of personnel performing complex tasks.
  • Select and recruit key team members as programs grow and new business is gained.
  • Assess performance of subordinate managers, including their effectiveness in managing their subordinates, and coach them to improve performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers such as SOCOM, TACOM, MARCOM, DLA, etc.
  • Find and assist with Government and Defense RFQ's, RFP's, RFI's, etc.
  • Oversee personnel training, mentoring, and promotion to positions of increased responsibility on team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of successful Project or Program Management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in previous management positions.
  • Ability to show evidence of both independent thought and leadership.
  • Working in a highly integrated, complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Personnel management, strategic planning, risk and change management.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication for presentations at all levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Electrical/Assembly Technician Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

Standard Hours are 6-2:30pm Monday- Friday. Overtime often required. Must have Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Assembler experience. The Electrical/Assembly Technician Lead provides electrical and electro-mechanical assembly on custom specialized automotive equipment and other specialized products. This position is responsible for lay out, build, test, analysis, repair, and modification of production components, equipment, and systems in a production setting.

DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, schematics, work orders, or reports.
  • Assemble required electrical components and consistently provide reliable and quality workmanship.
  • Design and document systems and subsystems of electrical components using schematics, ladder/rung drawings, line-to-line drawings and bills of material.
  • Prepare specifications to clarify details or functional criteria of electrical systems and subsystems.
  • Evaluate designs and specifications to ensure quality and ability to manufacture.
  • Assist and work with engineering to define solutions, parts, BOMs, and drawing packages.
  • Plan method or sequence of operations for developing or testing electrical systems and subsystems.
  • Build or test electrical components, systems and subsystems of conventional, and modified automotive electrical systems.
  • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, or repair electrical systems and subsystems using typical electrical hand tools.
  • Test performance of electrical systems and subsystems using electrical test equipment such as multimeters.
  • Interpret testing results to resolve electrical design-related problems.
  • Set up or operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental systems and subsystems under simulated operating conditions.
  • Modify electrical components, systems and subsystems to meet electrical requirements or correct functional discrepancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret working drawings, schematics, technical specifications etc.
  • Electrical CAD Software experience is a plus.
  • Soldering and soldering rework experience using both through-hole and surface mount components.
  • New product development, prototyping and test experience highly desirable.
  • Required to work to defined schedules and deliverables, but able to be proactive.
  • Experience in automotive electrical systems, troubleshooting and modification required, in 12 and 24 volt applications.
  • Experience in automotive control systems programming and modification highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop in to a working Department Lead for a team of Electrical Assembly Technicians.

Manufacturing Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes in a manufacturing plant.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Develop best practices, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods for assembly, fabrication and cutting departments. Train employees in these methods.
  • Develop weld and assembly jigs and fixturing.
  • Develop and maintain multi-level bill of materials; communicate changes using Manufacturing Change Order Process.
  • Complete time studies for continuous improvement.
  • Develop schedules for assembly, fabrication and cutting departments.
  • Lead Kaizen events in various manufacturing areas.
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Research and develop project cost.
  • Support estimating department with daily requests.
  • Write capital expenditure requests and justification.
  • Support Engineering Order process meetings and implementation through Manufacturing Change Order Process.
  • Update or write manufacturing work instructions for existing or new assemblies and fabrication using processes in place.
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow.
  • Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Support production supply requirements (supplies, tools, tool repair, etc.).
  • Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Work closely with Production Manager and supervisors to support the goals of the company.
  • Will apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Assembly Tech

POSITION SUMMARY

The Mechanical Technician provides electrical and mechanical assembly on custom specialized Arial equipment and other specialized products.

This position is responsible for lay out, build, test, analysis, repair, and modification of production components, equipment, and systems.

DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, schematics, work orders, or reports.
  • Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.
  • Test product to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Set up test apparatus to conduct functional, operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
  • Review work activities with management.
  • Perform physical and non-destructive tests of components and assemblies per written protocol.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • High school diploma or its equivalent (GED) required. Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret working drawings, schematics, technical specifications etc.
  • Intermediate reading, writing, and mathematical skills are required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Effective coordination/communication with team members and other departments.
